Biography
Dr.Suthakaran received the MBBS with 2nd Class Honours from the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka in 2010. He completed the internship at Colombo North Teaching Hospital, Sri Lanka in General Medicine, and in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Professorial unit of Obstetrics & Gynaecology under the supervision of professor.P.S.Wijesinghe. He was offered with full registration and license to practice medicine & surgery in Sri Lanka in 2012. He was enrolled into specialty training program in Obstetrics & Gynaecology following the successful completion of selection examination in Obstetrics & Gynaecology conducted by the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo in 2015. He received the Doctor of Medicine in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from University of Colombo in 2019. He has been working in clinical practice since 2012, and joined the academic journey at Department of Clinical Sciences, Eastern University, Sri Lanka in 2020 as a lecture in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. His research interests are high-risk pregnancy, fetal therapy, fetal anomaly screening, clinical governance, sub-fertility, and Endo-gynaecological surgeries. He published presented and published abstracts in regional, national, and international conferences.
