Biography

Obtained primary and secondary education at St Michaels College Batticaloa and graduated from Medical faculty Jaffna in 2005. Completed internship in Medicine and surgery at Teaching Hospital, Kurunegala and worked as a Senior house officer at General Hospital Polonnaruwa. Gained entrance into the MD medicine postgraduate study programme in 2009, and worked as a Registrar in Medicine at Colombo South Teaching Hospital. Obtained the 1st rank at the MD Medicine Part 2 examination in July 2011. Functioned as Senior Registrar in Cardiology at the Cardiology unit of National Hospital Sri Lanka and joined the Faculty of Health care sciences, EUSL as lecturer (Unconfirmed) in Medicine in 2015. Currently following a Fellowship in Cardiology as an international training fellow at Papworth Hospital, United Kingdom.
