History of ERC

The Ethics Review Committee of the FHCS, was established in the later part of 2007 after the commencement of the MBBS program at the Faculty which was in 2006. It was functioning based on the guidelines of the WHO and the Forum of Ethics Review Committees in Sri Lanka (FERCSL) since it’s inception. Later the ERC developed its own Terms of Reference (TOR) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). All the SOPs and TORs were approved by the Faculty Board, FHCS, EUSL. Members were appointed by the Faculty Board, FHCS, EUSL.
